Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Intellectual Property Rights and Patent Management 2012

Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights and Patent Management program starting from 2nd July 2012 is designed for participants with BE, BTech, B.Pharm, MS, MTech, M.Pharm, PhD. The curriculum has been designed and developed, keeping the industry requirements at core, by IP Practitioners, Attorneys and Patent Examiners & Agents

The program curriculum is tailored to meet industry requirements as well as the needs of aspiring professionals. It includes up-to-date education in US, European and Indian Patent and IP laws and procedures and is designed and delivered by outstanding professionals with rich teaching, research, industry and consulting experience.

The PGD program is divided into three trimesters - the first two trimesters includes class room training followed by 3 months of paid internship. GIIP will arrange for Industry internship for all program participants.

Distance Learning Programme – OCL (Off Campus IP Learning)

GIIP Distances Learning Programme - OCL starting from 25th August, 2011 aims at making IP learning more easily available, cost-effective and convenient to a broader constituency of learners. The OCL programme is an extension of GIIP’s existing instructor led training programs and will impart IP knowledge and skills to uses with technical, legal and management background.

The Distance Learning programme allows for learning at any time, any place and GIIP’s online learning system facilitates constant interaction with the trainers and mentors. A user can undertake a complete capsule or individual modules to meet his/her specific needs. The Distance Learning (OCL) programme provides comprehensive knowledge about different forms of Intellectual Property (IP), related protection systems & their significance, infringement issues and strategies for commercialization and management. The Distance Learning programme curriculum covers state of the art education in IP laws of India, US and EP and provides practical insights supported by illustrations, case studies and exercises that simulate scenarios commonly faced by a mid size to large enterprises handling IP issues.

Short Term Course - Executive Post Graduate program in Patent Protection, Enforcement and Management (7th February to 4th April 2011)

Global Institute of Intellectual Property is delighted to announce 2nd batch of Short Term - Executive Post Graduate program in Patent Protection, Enforcement and Management starting form 7th February 2011. The program curriculum has been designed with the sole objective of training professionals, with technical background, to help them find employment as a Patent Engineer / Associate / Attorney with a leading Corporate, MNC, R&D Institution, KPO or Law firm of the Country. It includes up-to-date education in US, European and Indian patent laws and procedures and is designed and delivered by outstanding professionals with rich teaching, research, industry and consulting experience.

240 hours of custom course curriculum will cover technical, legal and management aspects of patents & patent process. The focus is to develop skills in areas, such as, Prior Art / Patent Searches, Analysis, Landscaping, Claims & Specification Drafting, Filing and Prosecution. The pedagogy of the program is to train participants using case studies and illustrations and each session will be conducted by a practitioner or domain expert and will be highly interactive and hands-on. The assessment methodology includes classroom assignments, group discussions and final examination. The participants will help drastically reduce the cost and time that an Organization will spend on making them productive vis-à-vis new hires in the IP cell.

The 8-week Short Term Course will be offered to select thirty (30) candidates who match GIIP's selection criteria. The selection criteria are merit based, followed by personal interview & written test (optional). On completion of the program successfully, all participants will be provided placement that matches their profile and career plan. All participants of the previous batch have been placed with one of the leading MNC, KPO and Law Firm. Over 75% of the participants, of previous batch, got placed even before the completion of the program.

Short Term Course for Indian Patent Agent Exam 2011


GIIP announces short term course to prepare for the “Indian Patent Agent Exam 2011” conducted by Indian Patent Office. The course will be conducted in class room from 15th November to 20th November 2010(Monday to Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM) at GIIP’s Delhi and Bangalore centers.

The curriculum for the course has been designed and will be delivered by outstanding professionals, patent agents and attorneys, PTO officials with rich teaching, research, industry and consulting experience. The “Indian Patent Agent Exam Preparation & Patent Acts” program is the 6-day course to help you prepare for the ‘Indian Patent Agent Examination’, starting from 15th of November till 20th November, 2010 (classes will be held from Monday to Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM) at Delhi and Bangalore Centre. GIIP announces admissions open for PG Courses in Intellectual Property Rights and Patent Management

NEW DELHI, May 25, 2010: Global Institute of Intellectual Property (GIIP), a pioneer educational institute in the field of Patent & Intellectual Property Services, has announced admissions open for its Diploma and Certificate courses. These courses are available at the GIIP centers in Delhi and Bangalore and are designed specifically for graduates, post-graduates and PhDs in legal and technical domains who wish to build a career in the booming Intellectual Property (IP) industry.

The 9-month Full Time PG Diploma Course, which is offered in collaboration with Center for Advanced Studies and Research on Intellectual Property (CASRIP), University of Washington (USA), is meant for technical professionals aspiring for a lucrative career in Patent and IP Related services.
